INGREDIENTS

  • 6 pieces of chicken of choice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Juice of 1 fresh lime
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • Vegetable oil for pan frying

DIRECTIONS

  • Soften cream cheese to room temperature. Place chicken into large bowl. Add cream cheese. Mix well to coat chicken with cream cheese.
  • Add paprika, turmeric, oregano, black pepper and salt to chicken mixture. Mix well to disperse spices over chicken. Add egg and lime juice to dish. Stir to mix well. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and place chicken in refrigerator for 30 minutes. While chicken is cooling, in a large bowl combine flour, 1 1/2 tsp paprika, oregano, black pepper and 1 1/2 tsp salt and mix well.
  • Place 1/4 inch vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Take each piece of chicken and coat well with the flour mixture. As pieces are coated with flour mixture place the individual pieces onto a plate for holding.
  • When oil begins to shimmer, slowly add chicken pieces and cook for about 4 minutes before turning. After turning cook for another 4 minutes and check the internal temperature for 170 degrees. Serve and enjoy.
