INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts (optional)
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

  • Rinse basil leaves well and pat dry before measuring. In blender or food processor combine oil, lemon juice, and garlic; add basil, pine nuts (if used), and cheese. Whirl or process until pureed.
