INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound 75-25% ground beef
  • 1/4 medium onion, chopped medium
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, chopped medium
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 1 Tbl. Lawry's® Seasoned Salt
  • 3 Tbl. mayonnaise
  • 2 large hamburger buns, 6 in. diameter ideal
  • Salt and black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  • Form the hamburger meat into 2 patties, 1/2 pound each, approximately 6 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle each patty liberally with Lawry's® Seasoned Salt.
  • Place patties on a preheated 350°F griddle or flat top grill. Time the cook to 3 minutes. Flip each patty over and using a spatula, press each patty flat to about 1/4 inch thickness, mashing to retain a round patty. Set timer to 2 minutes.
  • After cooking the 2 minutes, flip the patties over and set timer for 2 more minutes. Continue flipping the patties every 2 minutes until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached. While patties are cooking, place a liberal amount of mayonnaise on cut portion of each hamburger bun top. Place the tomato slices on the cut portion of the bottom bun.
  • At 165°F, remove the patties from the griddle and place on top of the tomatoes. Sprinkle salt on the patty to taste. Liberally sprinkle the patty with black pepper. Top the patty with onion and lettuce. Serve and enjoy!
