INGREDIENTS

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees with corn-stick pan inside it. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar. Add cornmeal.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine egg, sour cream and oil.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and stir to combine. Pour batter into preheated corn-stick pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden around the edges. Makes 10 to 12 corn sticks.
