INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken wings, drumettes and flats (about 18 pieces)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 1/2 tbsp hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp honey

DIRECTIONS

  • Off heat, coat grill rack or grill pan with nonstick spray. Preheat gas grill or grill pan to medium-high, or prepare medium-high fire in charcoal grill.
  • In large bowl, add chicken. In small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle spice blend over chicken and toss until coated.
  • Arrange chicken on grill. Close lid and cook, turning occasionally, until wings are almost cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine hot sauce, butter, and honey. Brush glaze over chicken. Grill until wings are charred in spots, about 3 minutes. Turn wings over and brush with remaining glaze. Grill until wings are cooked through, about 3 minutes.
