INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • round Hamburger buns
  • Onion rings

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix wheat germ, milk, ketchup, salt, Tabasco, celery, and onion in a bowl. Add meat; mix lightly and thoroughly. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Place on greased grill about 4 inches from hot coals. Grill about 7 minutes on each side, or until meat is done as desired.
  • Serve on buns with onion rings.
