INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large red or green pepper
  • 1 pound ground pork or beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 cup cooked, cold rice
  • 4 tablespoons grated cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups water

DIRECTIONS

  • Clean peppers and cut off tops. Remove seeds and veins. Place in an ovenproof dish.
  • Mix meat, onions, tomatoes and seasonings. Mix in rice and fill peppers with mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Pour water in bottom of dish so peppers don't burn on the bottom.
  • Bake in a 350°F oven about 30 minutes till peppers are soft. Serve warm with cold sour cream.
