INGREDIENTS

  • 60 or so Nacho Chips
  • 2 14 oz. cans Armour Star Chili with Beans
  • 8 oz. American cheese, shredded
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 head Iceberg Lettuce, shredded

DIRECTIONS

  • Line a large pizza pan or a large sheet pan with lips with nacho chips leaving no gaps between the chips.
  • Chop the tomato into into 1/2 inch cubes. Shred the lettuce into 1/4 inch wide strips. Heat the chili through until at or above 165°F. Turn the oven to Broil with top rack 6 to 8 inches from the heat.
  • Spoon the chili onto the nacho chips. Don't attempt to cover all of the chips but rather dollop the chili over all.
  • Cover the chili and chips with shredded cheese. Place the dish under the Broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly - careful not to burn the chips. Remove dish from the oven and spread tomato and then lettuce over the dish. (Jalapeno and juice from pickled jalapenos go great with this dish as does sour cream.) Use a spatula and press straight down onto the dish to section off a portion to move to a plate. Enjoy!!
