INGREDIENTS

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 10 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups water

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the prepared pan and season them with the salt and the pepper. Pour the uncooked rice over the chicken and sprinkle it with the onion soup mix.
  • Combine the mushroom soup and the water in a bowl and pour it over the chicken mixture. Move the soup around to ensure all of the rice grains are in the soup.
  • Cover the pan with foil and bake until the rice is tender, about 1 hour 15 minutes.
