INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 8 canned artichoke hearts
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for deep frying

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix beer, salt and egg. Dip artichokes in beer batter, then in flour.
  • Fry in hot oil for 5 minutes until brown all over.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot with lemon wedges.
