  • 1 can (6 1/2 or 7 ounces) tuna
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Few grains cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cucumber
  • Paprika (optional)
  • 48 Melba toast rounds
  • 12 pimento-stuffed olives, sliced


  • Drain and flake tuna. Add mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, cayenne pepper, onion and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Pare cucumber and slice paper-thin (if desired, sprinkle with paprika).
  • For each canape, place cucumber slice on toast round, pile tuna mixture in center and top with olive slice.
  • Put 8 canapes in circle on 6 individual paper plates. For each plate, cook uncovered in microwave for 30 to 60 seconds.
