INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup bread crumbs, plain
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • marinara sauce, search recipes
  • 4 6-inch hoagie rolls

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Breakup the hamburger meat eliminating any clumps. Add the remaining ingredients, individually, mixing the ingredients after each addition.
  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the meat mixture into 16 equal portions and form into balls the size of a golf ball. Place the meatballs onto the baking sheet with space between the meatballs. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. When the meatballs are done, place them into a pot of hot marinara sauce.
  • Scoop out the bottom half of each roll being careful not to puncture the roll. Remove 4 meatballs and place on the bottom of each roll. Spoon extra marinara sauce over the meatballs if desired. Close the sandwich and enjoy.
