INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 lb. tenderized round steak
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 large onions, cut 1/2 inch and in rings
  • 1 4oz can sliced mushrooms, drain, reserve liquid
  • 1 10 3/4 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 3 cups cooked rice

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut steak into thin strips.
  • In a large skillet brown meat in oil, using high heat. Place meat on plate and set aside. Place onions into skillet and sauté until tender crisp.
  • Blend soup, sherry, liquid from mushrooms, and garlic salt. Return meat to skillet along with the onion. Pour the soup blend over the steak. Add the mushrooms. Stir all to mix well.
  • Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender. Serve over rice.
