Supreme Mixed Tomato Pickles Recipe cooks green tomatoes, onion, sweet peppers, cucumbers, celery seed, sugar and white vinegar before canning to make this deliciously tasty pickled vegetable recipe.


  • 1 gallon green tomatoes
  • 6 medium onions
  • 6 red sweet peppers
  • 6 green sweet peppers
  • 6 medium cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 3 lb. sugar
  • 1 pint white vinegar


  • Quarter tomatoes; chop onions. Cut up red peppers, green peppers and cucumbers. Place tomatoes, onions, salt and water to cover in a large kettle; cook for 10 minutes. Drain; do not stir.
  • Add red peppers, green peppers, cucumbers, celery seed, sugar and vinegar; cook for 20 minutes or until vegetables are done.
  • Spoon into sterilized pint jars; seal.
