INGREDIENTS
|
2 tablespoons sugar
|
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
|
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
|
1 1/3 cups regular rolled oats
|
1 tablespoon baking powder
|
1/4 teaspoon salt
|
3/4 cup snipped pitted dried plums (prunes)
|
1 cup fat-free milk
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Preheat oven to 450°F. In a small bowl stir together sugar and cinnamon;
set aside. In a large bowl stir together flour, oats, baking powder, salt and
1tablespoon of the sugar mixture. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until
mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in dried plums. Make a well in the center
of the flour mixture. Add the milk. Using a fork, stir just until moistened.

Grease baking sheet. Drop dough into 12 mounds (about 1/4 cup each) onto
a prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture evenly over all. Bake
for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove biscuits from baking sheet.
Serve immediately.
