INGREDIENTS

1 cup sugar
|
1/2 cup shortening
|
1 cup mashed fully ripe
bananas (2 to 3 bananas)
|
1 egg
|
1/4 cup buttermilk
|
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
|
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
|
1 teaspoon baking soda
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Combine sugar, shortening, bananas, egg, and buttermilk in a mixing bowl; beat well.

Blend remaining ingredients, add to banana mixture, and mix until blended (about 1 minute).

Turn into a greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
|

Bake at 350°F 45 to 50 minutes, or until done.
