Fruit 'n Nut Drop Cookie Recipe drops a mixture of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, butter, brown sugar, egg, flour, baking soda, salt, chopped dates, walnuts and cherry halves onto a greased baking sheets and bake until lightly browned.


INGREDIENTS
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped dates
3/4 cup chopped Planters Walnuts
1/2 cup candied cherry halves
48 Planters Walnut Halves


DIRECTIONS
1: Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add egg; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to cream cheese mixture, beating until well blended after each addition. Stir in dates, chopped walnuts and cherries.
 
2: Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets. Top each with a walnut half.
 
3: Bake 9 to 11 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets to wire racks. Cool completely.
