Bacon and Brussels Sprout Penne Pasta Recipe uses penne pasta, bacon, Brussels sprouts, shallots, golden raisins and white wine to create a multi-flavored and very tasty pasta dish.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 lb. penne pasta
|
6 slices bacon, chopped
|
12 oz. quartered Brussels sprouts
|
1/2 t salt
|
1/2 t pepper
|
2 medium shallots, thinly sliced
|
1/2 c. golden raisins
|
1/2 c. dry white wine or substitute 1 T lemon juice and water to 1/2 c.

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Cook pasta as label directs, reserving 1/2 c. pasta water before draining.
|

Meanwhile, in 5-qt. saucepot, cook bacon on medium-high 5 minutes or until crisp, stirring. Transfer bacon to plate.

Add sprouts to fat in skillet along with salt and pepper. Cover and cook 5 minutes (do not stir). Reduce heat to medium. Add shallots, raisins. Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add white wine; cook 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits.

To sprouts, add bacon, cooked pasta and reserved pasta water.
