Pork and Green Tomato Sauce Recipe uses pork, onion, garlic, tomatillos, green chiles, cilantro, marjoram, rice and sour cream to create is delicious Tex-Mex pork recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
2 1/2 pounds lean pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
|
1 Tbl. vegetable oil
|
1 onion, chopped
|
2 cloves garlic, minced
|
1 can (12 ounces) Mexican green tomatoes (tomatillos)
|
2 cans ( 4 ounces each) green chilies
|
1 Tbl. dried cilantro leaves
|
1 tsp. marjoram
|
1 tsp. salt
|
1/2 cup water
|
Cooked rice
|
Sour cream
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Brown meat in oil in large skillet. Push meat to sides of skillet; add onion and garlic and cook until onion is soft.

Add green tomatoes, chilies, cilantro, marjoram, salt and water and mix well.
|

Cover; bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender (depending on cut of meat used, about 2 hours.
|

Serve with rice and top with dollops of sour cream. 6 to 8 servings.
