Pork and Green Tomato Sauce Recipe uses pork, onion, garlic, tomatillos, green chiles, cilantro, marjoram, rice and sour cream to create is delicious Tex-Mex pork recipe.


INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 pounds lean pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
1 Tbl. vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (12 ounces) Mexican green tomatoes (tomatillos)
2 cans ( 4 ounces each) green chilies
1 Tbl. dried cilantro leaves
1 tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
Cooked rice
Sour cream


DIRECTIONS
1: Brown meat in oil in large skillet. Push meat to sides of skillet; add onion and garlic and cook until onion is soft.
 
2: Add green tomatoes, chilies, cilantro, marjoram, salt and water and mix well.
 
3: Cover; bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender (depending on cut of meat used, about 2 hours.
 
4: Serve with rice and top with dollops of sour cream. 6 to 8 servings.
