Barbecued Spareribs Recipe bakes pork spareribs in a homemade barbecue sauce made with chili powder, celery seed, brown sugar, vinegar, hot sauce, Worcestershire Sauce and catsup to create a delicious and tender pork sparerib dish.


INGREDIENTS
4 lb. lean, meaty spareribs
Salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
Few drops of hot sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup catsup
1 cup water


DIRECTIONS
1: Cut spareribs into serving pieces. Brown ribs on both sides in a skillet. Season with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and place in 4-quart roasting pan.
 
2: Combine pepper, chili powder, celery seed, 1 teaspoon salt, brown sugar, vinegar, hot sauce and Worcester shire sauce in saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook for several minutes or until blended.
 
3: Pour over browned ribs. Cover. Bake at 325°F. for 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes or until tender, basting frequently. Remove cover.
 
4: Increase temperature to 350°F.; bake until ribs are brown. Remove to warm platter.
