Barbecued Spareribs Recipe bakes pork spareribs in a homemade barbecue sauce made with chili powder, celery seed, brown sugar, vinegar, hot sauce, Worcestershire Sauce and catsup to create a delicious and tender pork sparerib dish.

INGREDIENTS
|
4 lb. lean, meaty spareribs
|
Salt
|
1/4 tsp. pepper
|
1 tsp. chili powder
|
1 tsp. celery seed
|
2 tbsp. brown sugar
|
1/4 cup vinegar
|
Few drops of hot sauce
|
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
|
1 cup catsup
|
1 cup water
|

DIRECTIONS
|

Cut spareribs into serving pieces. Brown ribs on both sides in a skillet. Season with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and place in 4-quart roasting
pan.

Combine pepper, chili powder, celery seed, 1
teaspoon salt, brown sugar, vinegar, hot sauce and Worcester shire sauce in saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook for several minutes or until blended.

Pour over browned ribs. Cover. Bake at 325°F. for 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes or until tender, basting frequently. Remove cover.

Increase temperature to 350°F.; bake until ribs are brown. Remove to warm platter.
