Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe makes tuna salad with canned tuna, lemon juice, hard-cooked eggs, dill pickle, green onion, tomatoes, butter, Bibb lettuce and mayo served on English muffins in this tasty tuna salad sandwich recipe.


INGREDIENTS
6 1/2, 7, or 9 1/4-ounce can tuna, drained
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 hard-cooked eggs
1/4 cup thinly sliced dill pickle
2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
3 English muffins
3 medium tomatoes
Butter or margarine
Boston or Bibb lettuce
Mayonnaise or salad dressing.


DIRECTIONS
1: Break one 6 1/2, 7, or 9 1/4-ounce can tuna, drained, into chunks; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
 
2: Combine tuna; 2 hard-cooked eggs, coarsely chopped; 1/4 cup thinly sliced dill pickle; 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion; 1/4 teaspoon salt; and dash pepper. Toss lightly and chill thoroughly.
 
3: Split 3 English muffins in half; toast, then spread with softened butter or margarine. Thinly slice 3 medium tomatoes into 18 slices. Top each buttered muffin half with Boston or Bibb lettuce, 3 tomato slices, and tuna-egg mixture. Garnish each sandwich with dollop of mayonnaise or salad dressing.
