Jimmy's The Sloppy Cuban Sandwich is a copycat of a sandwich once served at Jimmy's in Panama City, Fl and it uses hoagie buns, deli ham, American cheese, yellow mustard, salami and dill pickles which results in a unique delicious taste.

DIRECTIONS
1:
(The desired end result is a sandwich with a crunchy crust which is somewhat flattened. Prepare the sandwich with the end result in mind.) Split each bun in-half for a top and bottom.
2:
Lay two slices of cheese on the bottom bun half to cover the bun with cheese. Apply a liberal amount of mustard on the cheese. Lay one slice of ham, length-wise on the cheese/mustard and fold the ham over on itself so the ham remains on the bun and not hanging over the side of the bun. Repeat with second piece of ham.
3:
Add dill pickle slices the length of the bun. Cut the slice of salami in-half and cover the length of the bun with salami. Place the top of the bun on the sandwich to close the sandwich.
4:
The ideal would be to have a panini press sandwich maker but a flat-top grill or even a heavy skillet will work. Heat to 325°F. Place whole sandwich on heat. Close panini or if using grill or skillet, using a spatula or egg turner, flatten the sandwich to about 1/2 original height and cook. After about 2 minutes, turn sandwich over and cook until cheese begins to melt. Enjoy!
