Tartar Sauce with Capers Recipe uses mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, sweet relish, capers, Dijon mustard, and garlic to create this unique and tasty tartar sauce recipe.


INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup finely grated lemon zest
2 Tbsp. each fresh lemon juice, sweet relish
1 Tbsp. each chopped drained capers, Dijon mustard
1 small garlic clove, finely grated


DIRECTIONS
1: Zest the lemons trying to avoid the white pith under the peel.
 
2: Place the mayonnaise into a suitable size bowl. Add the lemon zest and stir to mix well. Add the remaining ingredients except for the lemon juice. Stir all to mix well.
 
3: The consistency of the tartar sauce, whether thick or thin, may be control by the amount of lemon juice added. Gradually add the lemon juice stirring to mix well. Stop adding lemon juice if the desired consistency is reached before all of the lemon juice is added.
 
4: Chill the tartar sauce and allow the ingredients to meld well before serving.
