Rock Shrimp Strata Recipe layers bread cubes, shrimp and grated sharp Cheddar cheese then covers with mixture of eggs, milk, dry mustard and cayenne before baking to create this wonderful rock shrimp recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
3/4 pound cooked, peeled, deveined rock shrimp, fresh or frozen
|
6 cups soft bread cubes
|
3 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
|
6 eggs, beaten
|
1 1/2 cups milk
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
1 teaspoon dry mustard
|
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
|
|
|

|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Thaw rock shrimp if frozen. Layer half the bread cubes
in a well-greased 7 1/2 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Cover bread cubes with half of the
cheese.

Place all rock shrimp over bread cubes and cheese layers. Repeat bread cubes
and cheese layers. Combine eggs, milk and dry mustard; pour over strata mixture. Let
set in refrigerator several hours or overnight.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes
or until egg mixture is set.

Note: 1 1/2 pounds of green rock shrimp tails will yield 3/4 pound of cooked, peeled,
deveined rock shrimp.
