Shrimp Jambalaya Recipe microwaves butter, green onions, celery, green pepper, garlic, chicken bouillon cubes, basil, pepper and pepper sauce then adds shrimp, ham, tomatoes, and tomato paste to make this tasty shrimp jambalaya recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 pound peeled, deveined shrimp,
fresh or frozen
|
1/2 cup butter or margarine
|
1 cup chopped green onions and
tops
|
1 cup chopped celery
|
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
|
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
|
1 package (8 ounces) sliced ham, cut
into small pieces
|
1 can (28 ounces) chopped tomatoes
and liquid
|
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
|
1 cup water
|
2 chicken bouillon cubes
|
1/2 teaspoon basil
|
1/2 teaspoon pepper
|
1/2 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
|
1 1/2 cups hot cooked rice
|

DIRECTIONS
|

Thaw shrimp if frozen. Combine butter, onions, celery, green pepper, garlic and
seasonings in 3-quart bowl. Cover and cook in microwave oven on high 12 minutes,
stirring occasionally during cooking.

Add ham, tomatoes, tomato paste, water and
shrimp. Cover and cook on high 16 minutes, stirring occasionally during cooking.

Place 1/4 cup rice in each of 6 soup bowls. Fill bowls with jambalaya.
