INGREDIENTS
|
1 lb. bay scallops
|
3 tbsp butter, unsalted
|
Juice of one lemon
|
|
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Pat dry the scallops with a paper towel.
|

Place a skillet large enough to hold the scallops in a single layer over medium-high heat. If skillet is not large enough to hold scallops in a single layer, cook scallops in batches.

Add the butter to the skillet to melt. Cook the butter until it stops bubbling and turns a light brown.

Add the scallops to the skillet and cook, undisturbed, until the bottom of the scallops begin to brown. Move scallops around to put the browned side up. Once scallops are browned, move the scallops around to coat the scallops with the butter until all of the butter has evaporated or coated the scallops. Remove the scallops from the skillet and place onto a serving dish. Add the lemon juice to the skillet to deglaze. Pour the lemon juice over the scallops. Serve hot and enjoy.
