Fried Oysters Recipe uses oysters, flour, corn flour, salt, pepper, and oil in creating this very tasty fried oyster recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
|
20 oysters, drained
|
|
1 cup all-purpose flour
|
|
1 cup corn flour, such as Maseca
|
|
1/2 tsp salt
|
|
1/2 tsp black pepper
|
|
oil, for frying
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

DIRECTIONS

1:
In a large pot, heat about 4 to 5 inches of oil to 350°F. (The oil will actively foam when oysters are placed in the pot so leave at least 4 to 5 inches of pot above the oil.)

2:
While the oil is heating, combine the flour, corn flour, salt and pepper and mix well. (A plastic bag such as the type used in produce sections work very well for breading food.)

3:
Place a few oysters into the breading and coat them well. Place breaded oyster onto a plate and set aside. Continue breading the remaining oysters.

4:
When the oil is a temperature, place the oysters into the oil as quickly as possible. Cook the oysters for 2 1/2 minutes and quickly remove from the oil using a large slotted spoon or spider and place onto a paper towel lined plate. Enjoy. (Note: retain the leftover flour mixture for later use.)
