INGREDIENTS

1 qt. tender okra with 1/2 in. stems
|
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
|
1 tbsp. bacon drippings
|
Salt to taste
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Place the okra in a pan with cold water to just cover.
|
|
2:
Bring to a boil and add the vinegar. Do not stir okra while cooking.
|
|
3:
Boil until fork tender. Add the drippings and salt to taste.
|
|
4:
Lift the okra from pan carefully to serve.
