Red Pepper Hummus makes a delicious appetizer or hors d'oeuvre using garlic, garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice and roasted red peppers in creating this very tasty appetizer recipe.


INGREDIENTS
2 large garlic cloves, chopped
1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
1/3 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped drained roasted red peppers from jar
Pita bread triangles


DIRECTIONS
1: With processor running, drop garlic through feed tube and mince. Scrape down sides of work bowl.
 
2: Add garbanzo beans, tahini and lemon juice; process until mixture is smooth.
 
3: Add roasted peppers; process until peppers are finely chopped.
 
4: Season with salt and pepper. Transfer hummus to small bowl. Note: Do Ahead; can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill. Bring to room temperature before serving with pita bread triangles.
