Pennsylvania Dutch Stuffing Recipe is stuffing made with potatoes which is a great option to the traditional bread stuffing using celery, butter, milk, parsley, saffron and eggs to create this deliciously tasty stuffing recipe.

INGREDIENTS

6 medium potatoes
|
1 medium onion
|
3 slices bread
|
1/2 cup diced celery
|
2 tablespoons melted butter
|
1 1/2 cup warm milk
|
2 teaspoon salt
|
1/8 teaspoon pepper
|
2 tablespoons minced parsley
|
1/4 teaspoon saffron
|
2 eggs, well beaten
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Pare and cut up potatoes; boil in water until soft. Chop onion; cut bread into cubes. Saute onion, celery, and bread cubes in melted butter.

Drain and mash potatoes. Add onion, celery, bread cubes, warm milk, salt, pepper, minced parsley and saffron; beat well.

Add eggs and blend thoroughly. Turn into a greased casserole.

Bake for 1 hour at 350°F. Serve immediately as
accompaniment to meat or poultry.
