INGREDIENTS

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
|
2 teaspoons baking powder
|
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
1/3 cup firmly packed brown
sugar
|
1 1/2 cups uncooked oats
|
1 cup buttermilk
|
1/2 cup vegetable oil
|
2 eggs, beaten
|
1/2 cup chopped pecans
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir in brown sugar and oats. Add remaining ingredients; stir only until dry ingredients are moistened.

Pour batter into a greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F 50 to 55 minutes. Cool on wire rack about 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool thoroughly.

Wrap and store. (Bread will slice better if stored a day before slicing.)
