Strawberry Ripple Tea Cake Recipe makes a batter with flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, egg, milk and butter then marbles with strawberry jam before topping with cinnamon streusel topping to create this delicious cake recipe.


INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine (melted and cooled) or salad oil
1/2 cup strawberry jam
For Cinnamon Streusel Topping:
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons cold butter or margarine


DIRECTIONS
1: Preheat oven to 375° F. In a large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. In a medium bowl beat egg with milk and melted butter. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, stirring until mixture is smooth.
 
2: Spread batter in a greased 8-inch springform pan. Spoon jam evenly over batter. Draw a knife through batter in several back-and-forth strokes to marble jam through it. Sprinkle evenly with Cinnamon Streusel Topping.
 
3: Bake until topping is well browned and wooden skewer inserted in center comes out clean (40 to 45 minutes).
 
4: Let stand about 5 minutes, then remove pan sides, cut into wedges, and serve warm or at room temperature.
