INGREDIENTS

1 can (2 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces
|
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
|
2 cans (11 1/2 ounces) condensed green pea soup, undiluted
|
1 cup grated raw carrots
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Drain mushrooms, pouring liquid into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make 2 cups of liquid. Melt butter in a 1 1/2 - to 2 - quart casserole for 30 seconds. Add drained
mushrooms.

Cook, uncovered, for 3 to 4 minutes, or just until heated.

Add soup and mushroom-water mixture. Stir until well blended. Stir in grated carrots.

Cook, covered, for 5 to 6 minutes, or just until carrots are crisply tender. Taste and season if necessary. Serve with croutons or crackers.
