Quebec Green Pea Soup

Quebec Green Pea Soup Recipe makes a delicious soup which is ready in no time and just loaded with taste using mushroom stems and pieces, condensed green pea soup and carrots with this green pea soup recipe.


INGREDIENTS
1 can (2 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 cans (11 1/2 ounces) condensed green pea soup, undiluted
1 cup grated raw carrots


DIRECTIONS
1: Drain mushrooms, pouring liquid into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make 2 cups of liquid. Melt butter in a 1 1/2 - to 2 - quart casserole for 30 seconds. Add drained mushrooms.
 
2: Cook, uncovered, for 3 to 4 minutes, or just until heated.
 
3: Add soup and mushroom-water mixture. Stir until well blended. Stir in grated carrots.
 
4: Cook, covered, for 5 to 6 minutes, or just until carrots are crisply tender. Taste and season if necessary. Serve with croutons or crackers.
