INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 pounds pork spare ribs
36 oz. barbecue sauce of choice
1 onion, quartered
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


DIRECTIONS
1: Place the spare ribs in a large stock pot with the barbecue sauce, onion, salt, and pepper. Pour in enough water to cover the ribs. Bring the mixture to a low boil and cook for about 40 minutes.
 
2: Preheat the grill to high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
 
3: Transfer the spare ribs to the grill.
 
4: Grill the ribs, basting the ribs in the barbecue sauce from the stock pot and turning frequently, until the ribs are nicely browned and have reached 145 degrees F internally, about 20 minutes. Serve hot.
