INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 pounds pork spare ribs
|
36 oz. barbecue sauce of choice
|
1 onion, quartered
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
|
|
|

|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Place the spare ribs in a large stock pot with the barbecue sauce, onion, salt, and pepper. Pour in enough water to cover the ribs. Bring the mixture to a low boil and cook for about 40 minutes.

Preheat the grill to high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
|
|
3:
Transfer the spare ribs to the grill.
|
|
4:
Grill the ribs, basting the ribs in the barbecue sauce from the stock pot and turning frequently, until the ribs are nicely browned and have reached 145 degrees F internally, about 20 minutes. Serve hot.
