Sausage Supper Recipe adds three types of link sausage to sauteed onion, garlic, carrots, sauerkraut, apple cider, white wine, potatoes and apple and bakes to create this delicious sausage recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 cup chopped onion
|
1 garlic clove, minced
|
3 carrots, pared and thinly
sliced
|
2 tablespoons shortening
|
1 jar (32 ounces) sauerkraut,
drained
|
2 cups apple cider
|
1/2 cup dry white wine
|
1/4 teaspoon pepper
|
3 parsley sprigs
|
1 bay leaf
|
1 package (12 ounces) pork sausage links, cooked and drained
|
1 package (5 ounces) tiny smoked sausage links
|
2 links (8 ounces each) Polish sausage, cooked and drained
|
2 cans (16 ounces each) small white potatoes, drained
|
1 apple, cored and cut in chunks
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Saute onion, garlic, and carrot in shortening in a skillet. Add sauerkraut, apple cider, wine, pepper, parsley, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Remove bay leaf.

Put into a 3-quart casserole.
|

Bake, covered, at 350°F 1 hour.
