Molded Apple Blue Cheese Salad Recipe easily creates a very attractive and delicious molded salad using gelatin, sherry, apples, celery, walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise and salad greens for garnish.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 pkg. lemon gelatin
|
1/4 tsp. salt
|
1 c. hot water
|
1 c. cold water
|
1 tbsp. sherry
|
2 c. cubed Washington red
Delicious apples
|
3/4 c. sliced celery
|
4 tbsp. broken walnuts
|
4 tbsp. crumbled
blue cheese
|
Salad Greens
|
4 tbsp. mayonnaise
|
|
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Dissolve the gelatin and salt in hot water in a bowl. Stir in the cold water and
sherry. Arrange about 1/3 of the apples in a salad mold or bowl, then ladle in
gelatin mixture until apples just start to float. Chill until firm. Chill remaining
gelatin until syrupy. Place remaining apples in a bowl. Add the celery, walnuts
and cheese and mix with 2 forks. Add mayonnaise and mix. Stir in the syrupy
gelatin and pour over firm layer in mold. Chill until firm.

Unmold onto a salad
plate and garnish with desired greens.
