Cinzia's Basil Pesto Recipe combines basil leaves, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, pine nuts and Parmesan cheese to create a delicious basil pesto which complements almost every dish.

INGREDIENTS
|
2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves
|
1/4 cup olive oil
|
1 teaspoon lemon juice
|
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
|
2 tablespoons pine nuts (optional)
|
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
|
|
|

|
|
|

|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Rinse basil leaves well and pat dry before measuring. In blender or food processor combine oil, lemon juice, and garlic; add basil, pine nuts (if used), and cheese. Whirl or process until pureed.
