Pennsylvania Dutch Style Green Beans Recipe is a very interesting way to prepare and cook green beans using bacon, onion, cornstarch, dry mustard, brown sugar, vinegar and hard-cooked eggs to create this delicious green bean recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
3 strips bacon
|
1 sm. onion, sliced
|
2 tsp. cornstarch
|
1/4 tsp. salt
|
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
|
1 No. 303 can green beans
|
1 tbsp. brown sugar
|
1 tbsp. vinegar
|
1 hard-cooked egg, sliced
|
|
|

|
|
|

|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Fry the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and crumble the bacon. Pour off
all but 1 tablespoon of the drippings. Add the onion and brown lightly.

Stir in
the cornstarch, salt and mustard. Drain the beans, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Pour
the bean liquid into the skillet. Cook, stirring, until the mixture comes to a boil.

Blend in the brown sugar and vinegar; add the beans. Heat thoroughly.

4:
Turn into
a serving dish and garnish with the egg and crumbled bacon.
