Baked Lobster Tails
by:
Garnet Jackson
Baked Lobster Tails Recipe complements the taste of lobster tails with butter, garlic powder, and paprika and serves the tails on an attractive bed of lettuce leaves.
INGREDIENTS
6 lobster tails (1/2 pound each), fresh or frozen
1 cup melted butter or margarine, divided in half
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Paprika
10 to 12 lettuce leaves, rinsed and drained
DIRECTIONS
Thaw lobster if frozen. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pan-cut lobster tails by cutting off the under shell, leaving the tail fan and upper shell in place. Place lobster, shell side down, on baking sheet; add garlic powder and salt to 1/2 cup butter and brush onto lobster meat; sprinkle with paprika.
Cover tails completely with damp lettuce leaves and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until lobster meat is opaque and tender.
Discard lettuce leaves. Serve with remaining melted butter.
