Italian Spaghetti Grucci

Italian Spaghetti Grucci Recipe without meat is delicious and flavorful using onions, green pepper, olive oil, tomatoes, salt, mushrooms and spaghetti and if desired a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and creates this tasty grucci dish.

INGREDIENTS
|
3 medium onions, sliced very thin
|
1 green pepper, seeded and diced
|
2 tablespoons olive or cooking oil
|
3 medium tomatoes
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
|
1 6-ounce package spaghetti
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Saute onion and pepper in oil until
tender. Peel and mash tomatoes. Add
with salt and cook, stirring occasionally,
over low heat 20 to 30 minutes or
until sauce is thick.

2:
One half cup sliced canned or sauteed
mushrooms may be added if desired.
|
|
3:
Cook spaghetti according to directions
on package, drain and place in
deep platter. Pour sauce over and serve
with grated cheese.
