Pecan Rice

Pecan Rice Recipe is a very nice, attractive, and tasty side dish which goes well with most meat dishes and uses brown rice, onion, butter, chopped pecans, parsley, basil and ground ginger to create this delicious rice recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 cup uncooked brown rice
|
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
|
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
|
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
|
2 tablespoons minced parsley
|
1/4 teaspoon basil
|
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
|
1/4 teaspoon salt
|
1/4 teaspoon pepper
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Prepare rice according to package directions.
|

In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, cook onion in
butter until tender but not brown.
|
|
3:
Add hot cooked rice, pecans, parsley, basil, ginger,
salt and pepper; mix well.
