Okra Creole

Okra Creole Recipe combines fresh okra, onion, celery, salt, pepper, oregano, canned whole tomatoes and canned whole kernel corn and simmers until okra is done to create this deliciously tasty okra recipe.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups sliced fresh okra
|
1/2 cup chopped onion
|
1/2 cup chopped celery
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|
1/4 teaspoon pepper
|
1/8 teaspoon ground oregano
|
1 (16-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
|
1 (7-ounce) can whole kernel corn, undrained
|
|
|
|

|
|

DIRECTIONS
|

Combine all ingredients in a heavy nonstick skillet. Bring mixture to a boil.
|

Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until okra is tender.
