Corn Sticks

Corn Sticks Recipe uses a special skillet and flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, yellow cornmeal, eggs, sour cream and vegetable oil to cook these unique and very tasty corn sticks.

INGREDIENTS
|
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
|
1 teaspoon baking powder
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
|
1 tablespoon sugar
|
1 1/3 cups yellow cornmeal
|
1 egg, beaten
|
1 cup sour cream
|
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
|

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 400 degrees with corn-stick pan inside it. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar. Add cornmeal.

In a mixing bowl, combine egg, sour cream and oil.
|

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and stir to combine. Pour batter into preheated corn-stick pan.

Bake for 25 minutes or until golden around the edges. Makes 10 to 12 corn sticks.
