Northwest Fried Chicken

Northwest Fried Chicken Recipe dips chicken in cream or evaporated milk then breads with mixture of flour, salt, pepper and paprika before frying in oil until golden brown then garnishes with parsley to create a tasty chicken recipe.

INGREDIENTS
|
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lb. chicken, cut in halves, quarters, or as desired
|
Oil for cooking
|
3/4 cup cream or evaporated milk
|
1/2 cup flour
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|
1/2 teaspoon pepper
|
1/4 teaspoon paprika
|
parsley, for garnish
|
|

DIRECTIONS
|
1:
Heat in iron or heavy aluminum skillet enough oil or half butter and half oil, to cover half the depth of the chicken.

2:
Dip chicken in cream or evaporated milk. Dredge in a mixture of well-blended flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.

3:
Fry slowly until golden brown; turn and brown other side until same color and until done, 25 to 30 minutes.

4:
Place on platter with sprigs of parsley and serve hot.
