Supreme Mixed Tomato Pickles

Supreme Mixed Tomato Pickles Recipe cooks green tomatoes, onion, sweet peppers, cucumbers, celery seed, sugar and white vinegar before canning to make this deliciously tasty pickled vegetable recipe.


INGREDIENTS
1 gallon green tomatoes
6 medium onions
6 red sweet peppers
6 green sweet peppers
6 medium cucumbers
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon celery seed
3 lb. sugar
1 pint white vinegar


DIRECTIONS
1: Quarter tomatoes; chop onions. Cut up red peppers, green peppers and cucumbers. Place tomatoes, onions, salt and water to cover in a large kettle; cook for 10 minutes. Drain; do not stir.
 
2: Add red peppers, green peppers, cucumbers, celery seed, sugar and vinegar; cook for 20 minutes or until vegetables are done.
 
3: Spoon into sterilized pint jars; seal
