Deep Fried Squid
by:
Sylvia Hensley
Deep Fried Squid Recipe creates a very tasty seafood dish using squid, flour, salt, pepper, vegetable oil and lemon.
INGREDIENTS
12 squid, cleaned, with their tentacles left on
Flour seasoned generously with salt and pepper
Vegetable oil for deep frying
3 lemons, cut in wedges
DIRECTIONS
1:
Rinse the cleaned squid in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Dip the squid into the seasoned flour and coat all surfaces evenly.
2:
Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F. Drop in the squid, a few at a time. Fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Transfer the squid with a slotted spoon to a baking dish lined with paper towels. Keep in a 200°F oven until all the squid are fried.
3:
Remove paper; serve squid with lemon.
