DIRECTIONS
1:
Note: When I can find them, I buy the small square dinner rolls to make these hamburgers. The rolls are a little hard to cut in half because they are so soft but make the just right size bun for the burgers. If I can't find the dinner rolls, I use hot dog buns and cut them in half and then cut off the rounded ends to make two small burger buns.
2:
Soak the onions in the hot water while preparing the hamburger meat. Once onions have hydrated, drain in colander or other suitable device.
3:
Combine the ground meat with the baby food and mix well to incorporate the two. Add the broth and mix well to blend. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup for correct portions, measure ground meat out and make into uniform patties 1/4 in. thick.
4:
Place patties on oiled medium-high griddle (or into heavy oiled pan or skillet) and cook for about 2 minutes. Just before flipping patties, place 1 tsp drained onion on patties and spread onion to cover patty. Flip patty and cook for 2 more minutes. Slid patty onto bottom of bun, top with 2 dill pickle slices, squirt of mustard, top burger with top of bun and enjoy!
