Exquisite Pizza Sauce

The name says it all for this delicious pizza sauce which uses tomato paste, Parmesan cheese, garlic, honey, anchovy paste, onion powder, oregano, marjoram, basil, black pepper cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes.

INGREDIENTS

1 6 oz can tomato paste
|
|
6 oz warm water
|
|
3 Tbl grated parmesan cheese
|
|
1 tsp minced garlic
|
|
2 Tbl honey
|
|
1 tsp anchovy paste (optional)
|
|
3/4 tsp onion powder
|
|
1/4 tsp dried oregano
|
|
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
|
|
1/4 tsp dried basil
|
|
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
|
|
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
|
|
1/8 tsp dried red pepper flakes
|
|
|

DIRECTIONS

Place all ingredients into a heavy saucepan. Stir to mix well. Place on medium heat and simmer for 30 minutes to blend flavors.

Let sauce cool to room temperature. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator, or use to top pizza and enjoy.

This is enough sauce for two pizza. The sauce freezes well in zip-lock bags.
